3rd Annual Science Fair!

February 23rd Mission Meadows will showcase student STEAM projects and host a fun, hands on Family Science night!  We will have several FREE activities for families to participate in celebrating each of the STEAM categories.  Students will be here displaying and answering questions about their projects. Join us for this free, fun celebration of learning.  

Kindergarten Registration

Beginning February 27th you can
register your child for Kindergarten!

VUSD offers 3 options for incoming Kindergarten students. Legal age requirements for entrance into Kindergarten are as follows:

  • Kindergarten for children born on or before Sept. 1, 2012.
  • Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for students born between
    September 2 and December 2, 2012.
  • Extended Transitional Kindergarten (ETK) for students born
    December 3, 2012 and March 1st, 2013.

To enroll in any of these programs the first step is to register on line on or after February 27th using this link: AERIES AIR-Online Student Registration. Once you complete the on line registration you will be prompted to bring a signed copy of the registration (if you can't print it at home, we can do it for you), Birth Certificate, Immunization Record, and proof of residence. Office hours for registration are 9:00 AM -11:00 AM, and 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. It is important to register early to ensure proper placement at your resident school.

Kindness Starts with One

We are gearing up for Kindness week beginning January 23rd. Students and staff we be looking for as many ways as possible to perform random acts of Kindness. And it all starts with just one person and one kind act. Each day of the week students will have an activity that goes with the theme. Click here for the daily activities.

Keep Emergency Cards up to Date

Parents are responsible to keep current contact information available for school staff  in case of emergency.  ALL PARENTS are responsible to know how to log onto Parent Portal.  Follow this link:  https://parents.vistausd.org/
